Candy House Workshop.jpg
  • The image above is a redesigned Facebook Ad that I created in my social media class during my senior year.

  • The ad was supposed to represent a Christmas event going on at the Kenosha Public Museum.

  • The event is called the "Candy House Workshop," where you can go to a workshop and create your own candy house.

  • All I had to do was redesign this Facebook ad in Illustrator and give it more detail, such as the snow and blue sky, to make it more appealing to the viewer.

Hanukkah 2021.jpg
  • The image above is another redesigned Facebook ad that I created for my social media class.

  • This was supposed to represent another Christmas event going on at the Kenosha Public Museum.

  • The event was celebrating "Hanukkah" in 2021. I just redesigned one detail, such as the menorah, in Illustrator and gave it a teal background to make it fit along with the theme of the ad.

National Christmas Lights Day.jpg
  • The image above is a third redesigned Facebook ad that I created for my social media class.

  • This also represents a Christmas event for the Kenosha Public Museum.

  • The event is celebrating National Christmas Lights Day in 2021.

  • I redesigned one detail from a Facebook ad, such as the tree, in Illustrator, and then added some more detail (tree lights, star, snow on the ground, snowflakes falling from the sky), to fit along with the theme of the poster.

  • What I have learned from making these three Facebook ads is learning how to make something more fun and appealing to the viewer in order to get more attention for the museum.

Creative Thinking.jpg
Letter Portrait 1.jpg
  • The two images above are word portraits that I created for the Letter Portrait Project during my junior year.

  • The purpose of this project was to transform an image and combine it with text either by letter or word and then I needed to use that word or letter to describe the person's personality or values in life.

  • The first portrait that I created originally for this project was the portrait on the left. The picture that I used was a businessman's face and made it encircle around the letter "C" for "Creative Thinking." And I added the title "Creative Thinking can help shape our world."

  • Next, I combined it with another portrait, which is the image on the right. The picture that I used was a businesswoman and I rasterized the image on the "T." I even added the message, "We Need Minds Like Yours." On the bottom left of this image, I added the Museum of Contemporary Art logo to make it look like these images are used as Instagram ads for the museum.

  • The message that I was giving out was that there are people out there who have creative minds that can make the world a better place.

  • These images work because the "C" and the "T" are rasterized with the humans which makes them look like they are going together.

  • What I have learned from this is learning how to combine two elements together, and to make these visual elements more appealing on an Instagram ad.

Pottery Exhibit Ad.jpg
  • The image above is a redesigned Facebook ad that I created for my promotional work for my Senior Seminar class.

  • The ad was supposed to represent a pottery exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago.

  • The event is called the "Mncane Nzuza's Pottery Exhibit," which shows all of his famous pottery.

  • All I had to do was redesign this Facebook ad by tracing a pot and giving it new detail, like the orange background, to make it more appealing to the viewer.

  • I even added the date when it opened and the museum's logo to make people know where it showed.

Renaissance Armor Ad.jpg
  • The image above is another redesigned Facebook ad that I created for my promotional work for my Senior Seminar class.

  • The ad was supposed to represent another exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago, which deals with the Renaissance.

  • The event is called the "Renaissance Art, Armor, and Architecture" which shows all of the famous armor, art, and architecture that originated in the Renaissance era.

  • All I had to do was redesign this Facebook ad by tracing a knight's helmet and giving it a lightish gray background to make it go along with its theme.

  • I even added the date when it opens and the museum's logo to make people know where it going to show.
